    Last fall Steven Walther, a 2013 Campbell University graduate, founded a start-up company that manufactures and sells a new toothbrush he invented: the Toof-inger. Conference presentations, pilot studies at dental offices, media interviews, sales pitches, and investor meetings followed. People took notice, but Walther needed a more dynamic logo for his small business. He turned to Campbell University students for help.

    This year was a banner year in the 126-year history of Campbell University. The fall semester saw the launch of the Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine, North Carolina’s first medical school in over 35 years. With an expected 150-plus graduates each year beginning in 2017, the school will play an important role in easing North Carolina’s impending physician and health care professional shortage, particularly in rural and medically underserved portions of the state.

    Program will benefit non-traditional and military students. Fifteen years after offering its first online courses, Campbell University will launch its first set of online degrees in 2014. In addition to a master of education degree, Campbell will offer associate and bachelor degrees, with flexible course schedules designed to meet the needs of adult students.
