One of the musts of the Campbell student experience is attending Street Fair during Welcome Week, which kicks off each academic year. The fair gives students the opportunity to learn more about campus clubs, groups and area businesses, as well as the chance to ride a camel and pick up free T-shirts and goodies. Students who attended the Street Fair on Tuesday, Aug. 20, talk about what they got out of it and why it’s a campus tradition.

Ryan Grinnell, an assistant coach with Campbell University’s track and field team, finished third in the triple jump at the USA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in June and has the third best mark in the triple jump in the country so far this year. His credits much of the success he’s had this year to what he’s learned from coaching.

University Communications highlights, communicates and promotes the activities of Campbell University’s faculty, staff and students, and acts as a liaison between the university and its constituents, including the public, news media, stakeholders and alumni. Among the communications team’s responsibilities are distributing news releases and managing the university’s internal and external communications. The office produces several print and online publications, including Campbell Magazine and We Are Campbell, and oversees the university’s main website and key social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
