Student Media

Campbell University has four student-run media outlets.

The Campbell Times

The student newspaper updated daily online and printed monthly throughout the fall and spring semesters and coordinated by the Communication Studies department. The Campbell Times received the “Best in Show” award for schools with fewer than 6,500 students in the 2013 North Carolina College Media Association Awards.

The Pine Burr Yearbook

The student-produced annual that highlights and activities of Campbell University. The Pine Burr Yearbook was one of only two universities to be named “Best in Show” in the yearbook category of the North Carolina College Media Association Awards, which included schools of all sizes.

The Lyricist

The student-produced literary magazine that features student submitted short stories, essays, artwork and poetry and coordinated by the Department of English.

Campbell Now

This video program is produced by undergraduate students several times each week under the advisement of Communication Studies faculty. Students from all majors may participate by taking the course (Comm 257) or volunteering.
