About Us
Chris O’Connor is the Director of Student Activities at Campbell University. His office is located on the bottom floor of Baldwin Hall. Chris came to Campbell University after completing his Masters in Higher Education Administration with a concentration in Student Affairs at North Carolina State University in 2006. Originally from Charlotte, NC, Chris attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and graduated with a degree in History and Communications Studies. Chris has worked in a variety of student affairs settings including The Center for Academic Integrity at Duke University and Carmichael Gymnasium at N.C. State. Aside from overseeing the operation of the Wallace Student Center, his responsibilities include advising the Campus Activities Board and Inter-Organizational Council, working with the Student Government Association, and overseeing the International Student Services program. Chris is currently working on his PhD in Higher Educaution Administration at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and enjoys playing disc golf, travelling, and spending time with his wife, son, and new daugher.
Karie Parkes is the Assistant Director of Student Activities. Her office is located on the bottom floor of Baldwin Hall, and she can be reached at (910)814-4758 or by email at sagrad2@campbell.edu. Karie graduate from Western Harnett High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Campbell University in 2005. Karie also holds a Master of Divinity degree from Campbell University Divinity School. She is an active member of Lafayette Baptist Church in Fayetteville, NC and on the Student Advisory Leadership Team at Campbell University Divinity School. Karie loves to travel, swim, and watch movies. She especially enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Catherine Campbell serves as the Graduate Assistant for International Students Services. Her office is located on the bottom floor of Baldwin Hall and she can be reached at (910) 814-4757 or by email at intlga@campbell.edu. Catherine obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Religion from Campbell University. She is currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree with a concentration in Theological and Historical Studies from Campbell University Divinity School. Catherine enjoys traveling, reading, spending time outdoors, and a good cup of coffee. Catherine really believes that the world is a lot bigger than it seems and has a desire to experience as much of it as possible.
Phillip Pope is the Graduate Assistant for Student Government. His office is located on the bottom floor Baldwin Hall and he can be reached at (910) 814-4756 or by email at sagrad@campbell.edu. Phillip graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Psychology and Political Science and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity Degree from Campbell University Divinity School. Outside of Student Activities he also works as a Resident Chaplain for Campus Ministry. Phillip has a passion for music, enjoys good southern cooking and loves to play tennis.
