What A Camel Needs
Here are your lists of items you will need, items you might want, and items you shouldn't bring.
Items you Need (Essentials)

- Bed sheets - they need to fit an 80" mattress
- Pillows & pillowcases
- Towels, hand towels, and washcloths
- Toiletry items (soap, shampoo, etc.)
- Laundry supplies (basket, detergent, dryer sheets, etc. – tablets are the easiest to deal with)
- Clothes hangers
- Umbrella
- Alarm clock
- Ethernet cable
- Trash can
- Medication
- Broom/vacuum
- Shower shoes
- Backpack
- Clothes drying rack
- Pictures/posters
- School supplies (notebooks, pens, pencils)
Items You Might Want
These items are not necessary, but they can make your life in a residence hall easier
- Mattress pad
- Fan (box, pedestal, or window type)
- Lamps (no halogen lamps)
- Refrigerator (1.5 amps max)
- Personal computer
- Iron and ironing board
- Dry Erase/bulletin board
- 3M Command adhesive for attaching items to the walls
- TV
- Coaxle Cable(Used to connect cable TV)
- DVD player
- Stereo
- Headphones
- Rug/carpet
- Bicycle and lock
- Storage containers (i.e. under-the-bed boxes)
- Microwave
Items You Cannot Bring
- Cooking appliances (George Foreman Grills, Hot Plates, etc.)
- Multi-plug covers (all plug multipliers must have surge protection)
- Obscene materials
- Weapons of any kind
- Outside antennas
- Traffic signs
- Candles, fireworks, or any other fire-involved material (smoking must be done outside and 25 feet away from the building)
- Pets (except fish in 10gal tank or less)
- Space heaters (all rooms are equipped with heating and air-conditioning)
- Halogen lamps
- Nails, screws, permanent adhesives – anything that could damage the walls
- Alcoholic beverages or containers
