Chelsy Cox

Power Pilates Instructor

Class Description:
Power Pilates is an energizing workout that allows you to push yourself through controlled, precise movements designed to stretch and strengthen lean muscle all to a twist of house music. It will leave you feeling sweaty and satisfied as you watch your goals bloom. If you are wanting lean and toned muscle while finding how truly strong you are, this is the class for you! This class is open to all and I hope to see you there!

About Me:
Hello there! I am the new Power Pilates instructor here at Campbell. I will not bore you of my whole life story, but here are some things about myself. I’m a marketing major who loves health, coffee, Jesus, and anything with a vintage twist. I love meeting new people and being a helpful part in any way possible, so do not hesitate to talk with me after class. I look forward to meeting all of your beautiful faces and hope to make this class a spectacular experience!

Class DescriptionChristian Yoga Class – A Spiritual Practice. This class is open to all (general public and Campbell University students & faculty/staff). I focus on posture, breathing, relaxation and meditation with God. Those who want to improve their flexibility and strength, relax body and mind should attend my class. 

About Me: I graduated from Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC with a BA in Mass Communication and a minor in Computer Information Systems. I received my yoga certification from the NC School of Yoga in Raleigh, NC. I have also taught classes on health and wellness at SchoolDude University, the annual conference of where I have served on the Marketing Team for years. I am a member at the Buies Creek First Baptist Church. I lead the Handbell Choir and also sing in the choir.

Class description: Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats.  Zumba works all areas of your body focusing on your core muscles, legs and arms.  With Zumba you get the most out of your workout by doing fun and easy-to-follow, calorie-blasting, Latin-inspired dance moves that boost your energy and relieve stress. You can dance at your own pace putting as much into your workout as you wish. You don’t even have to know how to dance.  Just move your body to the music and follow my lead.  It’s easy! There truly is no other fitness class like a Zumba Fitness-Party!!!

About me: I have been working out with Zumba since 2011 when I started taking classes here at Campbell. I looked forward to the workouts so much that in October 2012 I went to get my Zumba instructor license. I try to keep my classes fresh and I am constantly working on new songs to add to my playlist.  I welcome song suggestions and welcome you to come workout in my class!  I love to make noise and get the whole class involved in every song, so that you will constantly be having fun while getting fit!  We will have a blast!!!  Come out and party your way into fitness!!!
