Service
Loving our neighbors

Campbell University’s dedication to service is the fruit of an institution whose foundation was service to others. Campbell University began as a beacon of education in Harnett County and remains so as it continues to excel in the areas of faith, learning, and service.
At Campbell, service means working alongside our brothers and sisters to enrich the community. Answering Jesus' call to love our neighbors as ourselves, we seek to enrich the campus community, the local community, and the global community-- becuase our neighbors live in all parts of the world.
Campbell students begin their time in Buies Creek with a service project at orientation and may end their senior year with a project like Operation Inasmuch. A myriad of service opportunities will fall in betweeen in the form of days of service, mission trips, special service events, and more.
There's a place for your gifts here. We want to serve alongside you as a community and as the body of Christ.

Growth in Community Service
Community service may take the form of an individual volunteering at an animal shelter, a club tutoring at a local church, a dorm hall building a wheelchair ramp, or the student body participating in Operation Inasmuch. Campbell seeks to invest in the community by buildling long-term, sustainable relationships with community partners. Campus Ministry is in its second year with an AmeriCorps VISTA, whose position is dedicated to connecting student volunteers with the needs of the Harnett County community.
New Year of Mission Trips
Campbell students have served all over North Carolina, the country, and the world via Campus Ministry's mission trips. Mission trips always address a need in a particular community, whether that be home construction, English as a second language, or assisting with an after-school program. Mission trips match students' gifts with the needs of a person or organization. Click here to learn more about the 2011 - 2012 mission trips.
