Lifeguard Training

The Lifeguard course is for training those who wish to be lifeguards at swimming pools only.

Lifeguard Training/CPR Cost

The cost for the Lifeguard Training course is $225.00 per participant and includes the lifeguard training instructor manual.  Classes will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. CPR for the Professional Rescuer recertification is $80.00.  CPR recertification participants are expected to provide their own rescue mask.  Register early to ensure your choice of classes.

Prerequisites

• Be at least 15 years old.
• Swim 300 yards continuously using each of the following strokes for at least 100 yards each:  crawl, breaststroke.
• Swim 20 yards using front crawl or breast stroke; surface dive to a depth of 7-10 feet; bring a 10-pound diving brick to the surface; and swim back with the brick holding it with both hands while keeping one's face above water (timed 1:40)

LG I: March 11 - March 21

>CPR class for LG I Class: March 16

LG II: April 8 - April 18

>CPR class for LG II Class: April 13

LG III: April 29 - May 9

CPR class for LG III Class: May 4

*classes meet from 6:00pm – 9:00pm Monday – Thursday*
