Lifeguard Training

Please note: The Lifeguard course we offer is for training those who wish to be lifeguards at swimming pools only.

Lifeguard Training/CPR Cost

The cost for the Lifeguard Training course is $250.00 per participant. The fee includes First-Aid course and a CPR course as well as a lifeguard manual.  Classes will be filled on a first-come, first-serve basis. Our lifeguarding program will help students develop skills that will be of value to future employeers. Please be aware that there are several prerequisites (listed below) that must be meet on the first day in order to continue in the program. It is recommended that students practice these before start of class, as there are no refunds given upon start of class.

CPR for the Professional Rescuer recertification is $80.00.  CPR recertification participants are expected to provide their own rescue mask.  Register early to ensure your choice of classes.

Prerequisites

  • Be at least 15 years old.
  • Swim 300 yards continuously  (100 free, 100 breaststroke, 100 either free or breaststroke)
  • Swim 20 yards using front crawl or breast stroke; surface dive to a depth of 7-10 feet; bring a 10-pound diving brick to the surface; and swim back with the brick holding it with both hands while keeping one's face above water (timed 1:40)
