Updates: In evaluating my choices to continue my professional studies, it became clear God had a plan for me to stay at Campbell and enroll in the Masters in the Mental Health Counseling Program. I’ve always shared a special bond with my youngest sister, Taylor, so it has been great helping her make the transition from high school work to the more demanding college courses here at Campbell. As a member of the Call Team for three of my undergraduate years, it was a natural transition that I would be asked to be a Graduate Assistant (GA) to help in the supervision of the efforts of the Call Team. It’s great to work with Ms. Peggy Mason to plan ways to encourage our team in ways to be successful in meeting our goals. My most exciting life event took place in May 2012 when I was part of a Study Abroad group from Campbell that toured the birthplace of Psychology. Our group toured Switzerland, Germany, and Austria during our fifteen days abroad. Most memorable was touring Sigmund Freud’s museum and seeing the famous couch his patients reclined on while being analyzed by Dr. Freud!

Updates: So much has happened in my life in just one short year since leaving CU! I was able to secure a position at the Wake Forest School of Medicine as a Year 4 and Visiting Student Coordinator. While this is an exciting position, my hope is to pursue my Masters in Health Administration next year. A lot of the skills I learned while being a Call Team member helped through my interview process. In talking with Campbell Alumni, I honed my conversation skills and ability to process questions quickly to provide the correct response. Being able to think quickly through a situation is a great asset in a new position. While learning the ropes of my new position, I also took on the project to plan my wedding in just 4 months! The day was fantastic and one I will never forget. Now I reside in Mocksville with my husband Jonathan. I recently accepted a position on the Young Alumni Council on the Alumni Board of Directors for Campbell. I’m excited for this opportunity to stay connected to Campbell.

Updates: It was exciting to be a member of Campbell’s 125th Graduating Class! Graduation didn’t stop me from studying as I’m preparing for the upcoming LSAT exam. I’m beginning to narrow my law school choices down but I don’t want to list them now in case it jinxes something! To pay the bills as I make preparation to enroll in school again, I’m working at People’s Bank in my hometown. My priorities are to try to save money and spend time with those folks that mean the most to me! I’m still trying to find time to play a few sets of tennis here and there. Campbell University and the Call Team gave me the tools to believe once you set a goal, you are an active participant in making and taking the steps that will ensure I have the bright future that I want.
