Prerequisite: Biol111, Bio201, Chem113 or special permission of the instructor; Chem227 recommended.

Lectures will include the principles of Mendelian heredity, linkage, mutation, population genetics, and molecular genetics, with emphasis on the mechanisms regulating the processes of replication, transcription, and translation. Three lectures and three laboratory hours each week. Spring semester.
