When is this course offered?

Fall semesters of even years, if enough students convince me to teach it

Who can take this course?

This course is intended for juniors and seniors who have already taken Basic Biology (BIOL111) and Introduction to Christianity (RELG125).

Does this course count towards one of the two required science courses I need to take?

No.

Is this course hard?

That depends on what your definition of hard is.  There is a tremendous amount of reading that is necessary in order to adequately look into the issues of the topic (click here to see an example of what the 2002 class was assigned to read).  If you don't like to, or don't want to spend a lot of time reading, then this class is not for you.  There is only one exam, and it only counts 15% of your grade, so if you don't like exams, and like to read, maybe this class is for you.

So which is true...creation, evolution, or both?

The short answer is one, the other, or both.

What do you believe, Dr. Metz?

I'm not nearly informed enough to confidently say...I've only read the books in my personal book collection, some in the library collection (see course syllabus), and the articles listed in the reading pack I've compiled for this course...all I know is God loves me and wants to express Himself to the world through me, as He also wants for everyone.
