                                Worked for one week on the separation of analgesics using Capillary Electrophoresis.

                                Learned how interfaces worked, constructed a simple analog to digital converter, performed

                                simple chemistry/physics experiments with commercially available kits.

                                Learned the general theory of Capillary Electrophoresis and performed experiments with

                                commercially available equipment.

 

                Internship , Magellan Laboratories (August 1995)

                                Learned about information handling and good laboratory practices (GLP) in the pharmaceutical

                                industry.  Assisted in HPLC method development for a new product.

 

                Workshop, Microscale for General Chemistry, West Virginia State University (August 1994)

                                Learned and experimented with microscale methods as applied to general chemistry.

                                Feasibility, cost, and waste-management were discussed.
