Elementary Education (K-6)
The Elementary Education program is housed in the department of Professional Education, one of four departments in the School of Education. Initial Elementary Education licensure is available through a traditional Bachelor of Science degree program and results in the ability to take the national exam for K-6 licensure.
Candidates may begin taking education classes their sophomore year. Undergraduate candidates must go through the acceptance procedures before the beginning of their senior year in order to student teach in the second semester of their senior year. Candidates gaining licensure through the graduate program must work with graduate admissions and enroll in the desired program.
