In addition, candidates must complete nine semester hours of electives. Among the choices available are the following:
Students who wish to add School Counselor licensure to the M.A. in community Counseling must first complete the M.A. program (48 hours), then take the following courses:
*EDUC 600 and EDUC 631 are not required of students who hold a current NC teaching license.
Students should confer with advisors in the selection of courses. Generally, electives for the M.A. program may not be used to fulfill additional school licensure requirements, nor may the above courses be used to satisfy elective requirements for the M.A. program. NOTE 1: Students planning for a practicum or internship placement MUST consult with the Campbell university area coordinator for counselor education before investigating a practicum or internship placement. NOTE 2: Practicum and internship students are required to have professional liability insurance BEFORE beginning the practicum or internship. |
