The Master of School Administration program emphasizes leadership ability and problem-solving ability through further development of the educator's:

Goal

By studying national and state standards, MSA students will demonstrate proficiency in the knowledge, dispositions, and performance necessary to become successful school administrators.

Objectives

MSA students will develop competency in:

  • Problem-solving;

  • Leadership;

  • Collaborative decision-making;

  • Management and supervision;

  • School law;

  • School finance;

  • Educational technology;

  • Special education;

  • Student growth and development;

  • Curriculum;

  • Research;

  • School safety.

MSA students will learn to value:

  4. Individual differences;

  5. Reflective practice.

MSA students will practice new skills and competencies as they work through two 300-hour internships in different public school settings.
