Family and Consumer Sciences - Student Organizations
 


 

Campbell University Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS)

Our local chapter is affiliated with the North Carolina Association of Family and Consumer Sciences and the American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences.  Students are actively involved at the local, state, and national level.  Local organizational activities include regular chapter meetings, parties, fundraisers, and community service projects.  Since 1999, we have led a team in the Harnett County Relay for Life, sponsored by the American Cancer Society.
 

Officers are elected in December of each year. 
Current chapter officers include:

2001 Homecoming Activities

This year we participated in the homecoming parade festivities in the rain!  Our float "Family and Consumer Sciences Supports REAL Super Heroes" featured firemen, doctors, policemen, teachers, and even a super dad!

Students attend and participate in the North Carolina Association of Family and Consumer Sciences meeting, typically held in March.  Our students have participated in the program and held officer positions in the student section.  Currently, Campbell has four state officers:

Campbell University Students for the Development of Young Children

Our local chapter is affiliated with the National Association for the Development of Young Children and the North Carolina Association for the Development of Young Children.  Students are actively involved at the community and state levels.  Five students recently attended the North Carolina Association for the Development of Young Children annual study conference in Greensboro, NC.
