Minimum of 18 hours beyond core requirements

*DIV5400 Pastoral Care (3) if not taken as a core requirement
*DIV5600 Counseling and Christian Ministry (3) if not taken as a core requirement
DIV5625 Crisis Intervention (3)
DIV5649 Ethics, Spirituality, and Religion in the Helping Professions (3)
DIV6031 Life Span Development (3)
Approved graduate courses in School of Education

Praxis - Choose at least one:

DIV5475 Clinical Pastoral Education (4) or approved equivalent
DIV5476 Clinical Pastoral Education (4) or approved equivalent
Practicum or Internship
Approved military or institutional chaplaincy program (NOTE: Persons in an approved program may bypass certain concentration requirements if at least 18 semester hours of approved work are completed toward M.Div. requirements.)

Public Communication Skills--Choose at least one:

DIV4301 The Delivery of Sermons (2)
DIV4421 Communicating with the Congregation and Community (2)
DIV4422 The Ministry of Writing (2)

Care-giving in Congregations--Choose at least one that you did not study as an undergraduate:

DIV6130 Family Systems in Congregational Ministry (2)
DIV6903 The Church and the Family (3)
DIV5449 Special Topics in Pastoral Care (2/3)
Age group course (any DIV6300's)

Choose to complete hours:

Advanced electives chosen from topics in or related to counseling or chaplaincy.
