Purpose of Convocation

The definition of “Convocation” is a gathering.  The College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences at Campbell University begins each new academic year with a convocation ceremony to gather all students together, to welcome new and returning students and to honor those students who will be graduating the current academic year.  


This year’s convocation ceremony will be on Friday, August 21, at 2:00 p.m. in Turner Auditorium, D. Rich Hall.  Graduate classes for that day are cancelled to allow all graduate students to attend. Attendance is required.


Parking will be a challenge on Friday – please carpool if possible.  Public Safety has suggested students park in the Convocation Center lot and parking will be allowed in Saylor Park.  Also check the parking lot near the tennis courts for open spaces. Cars will not be ticketed that day as long as it is not a handicap or fire violation.

Class of 2015 & 2016 Information

All CPHS Masters and PharmD students who are expected to graduate in December, 2015 or May, 2016, will take part in the processional and recessional along with faculty. Students should plan to wear business dress. Please plan to meet at the location shown below at the designated time.  

Class of 2017, 2018, and 2019 Information

Students have assigned seating in the auditorium according to their year and program and need to enter the auditorium as a group with their faculty representative. Once the students are seated, the faculty representative will then line up in the hallway with the other faculty.
