Michael L. Adams, an assistant dean and an associate professor of pharmaceutical sciences at Campbell University, has been named the next dean of Campbell’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, effective Jan. 1, 2015. Adams will succeed current CPHS dean, Ronald W. Maddox, who will retire effective Dec. 31. CPHS has been under the leadership of Maddox since its inception in 1986.

Timothy Hinson recently received the 2013 Linda B. Ford Scholarship while pursuing his Asthma Educator Certificate (AE-C) from the National Asthma Educator Certification Board. The scholarship, which has extensive application requirements, is designed to help cover the cost of the certificate examination.

Fifty students from 27 different colleges and 13 states across the country are spending the week at Campbell University in pursuit of improving their college applications for graduate and doctorate health programs.
The annual Healthcare Professionals Readiness & Enrichment Program (PREP), hosted by the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences and School of Osteopathic Medicine, teaches participants about resume writing, interviewing, time management, test taking and professional development skills.
