Campbell graduates first physician assistants

Over the past 28 months, the students of the charter physician assistant class of Campbell University’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences have been hard at work learning how to treat patients, participating in community outreach events and practicing key elements of the profession, like casting, on each other. All of that hard work paid off as the 34 members of the PA Class of 2013 walked across the stage at Turner Auditorium in Buies Creek on Saturday.

Clinical Research faculty earns asthma educator certificate and scholarship

Timothy Hinson recently received the 2013 Linda B. Ford Scholarship while pursuing his Asthma Educator Certificate (AE-C) from the National Asthma Educator Certification Board. The scholarship, which has extensive application requirements, is designed to help cover the cost of the certificate examination.

Ashley Branham, PharmD ’08, was recently named community care pharmacist of the year by the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists.

Branham practices as the director of clinical services at Moose Pharmacy in Concord, NC, and as a clinical pharmacist at Cabarrus Family Medicine in Kannapolis, NC.
