PharmD grad named North Carolina Community Care Pharmacist of the Year

Ashley Branham, PharmD ’08, was recently named community care pharmacist of the year by the North Carolina Association of Pharmacists.
Branham practices as the director of clinical services at Moose Pharmacy in Concord, NC, and as a clinical pharmacist at Cabarrus Family Medicine in Kannapolis, NC.

Laurinburg pharmacist and Campbell grad James Edward "Ed" Herring, Jr., received the 2013 M. Keith Fearing, Jr., Community Pharmacy Practice Award from Campbell University College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences on April 5.
Pharmacy grad named director of alumni relations

Leigh Liles Foushee has been named director of alumni relations at Campbell University’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. A 2000 doctor of pharmacy graduate, Foushee will be the first alumnus to serve in the position.
“Dr. Foushee is a dedicated graduate and proven leader,” said Ron Maddox, PharmD, dean of the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. “Alumni participation is very important to us at the College, and we are excited to have one of our graduates lead the alumni program.”
Foushee has been an active member of the College’s Alumni Association, serving as president during the 2010-2011 term.
Waters honored with Distinguished Alumni Award

Wesley "Trey" Waters III, PharmD ’02, was one of five alumni to receive Campbell University’s Distinguished Alumni Award during homecoming weekend on Oct. 19. In just 10 years since leaving Buies Creek, Waters has become owner or partner of six pharmacies in North and South Carolina.
Pharmacy professor and grad reporting live from the sidelines

If you listened to a Fighting Camels football game on the radio last year, or watched it live online, odds are you heard Andy Bowman assisting the call as the color commentator. This was a unique role for the pharmacy professor at Campbell University to fill, but it gave Dr. Bowman, a 1993 PharmD graduate, the chance to break into sports broadcasting.
This fall, Bowman will once again join Campbell’s radio team in a new role as a sideline reporter during home football games.
