Q&A - Gerald Montero, 2014 public health student

Serving others in active duty and civilian life - After serving in the Army as a medic for nearly seven years, Gerald Montero wanted to continue working in health care as he transitioned to civilian life last summer. At first he considered a nursing degree until he heard about the new public health program at Campbell University's College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences.

Kappa Epsilon Fraternity creates new scholarship

Campbell University’s Kappa Epsilon chapter, Alpha Rho, recently established a scholarship at the College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. The pharmacy fraternity pledged $30,000 to give KE members financial support for their post-graduate education.
“There are so many individuals that put in their time and effort by volunteering and attending events. We figured it would be a way to show our members that we really care about what they do,” said KE President Lauren Turner.
Pharmacy program names Dean’s Academic Scholarship recipient

Mary-Russell Wagstaff of Wendell, N.C., has been awarded the Dean’s Academic Scholarship at Campbell University’s College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences. The scholarship will cover the cost of tuition during her first year in the pharmacy program.
Wagstaff is a dual degree student at Campbell, currently pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Research. This fall she will enter the Doctor of Pharmacy program, and simultaneously complete both degrees in 2017.
