Dr. Chazotte’s research interests have  included mitochondrial bioenergetics and kinetics,  membrane biochemistry and biophysics; membrane diffusion, membrane fusion, fluorescence labeling of cells; fluorescence polarization and fluorescence lifetime measurements; fluorescence recovery after photobleaching; confocal, phase, DIC and brightfield  microscopy.  He has studied mitochondrial bioenergetics at the cellular and subcellular levels using both classical biochemical and imaging techniques.  Studies have examined the effect of cytokines on cellular mitochondrial function and a possible role of mitochondrial dysfunction in chronic fatigue syndrome.
