Scholarships
In addition to the specific requirements list below, each student must meet or exceed any other criteria established by the Scholarship Committees for scholarships awarded from these funds, criteria including but not limited to financial need, academic performance, good conduct, good citizenship, and community service.
Annual Awards
Parenteral Drug Association Southeast Chapter Scholarship – (1) This scholarship is intended to recognize a BSPS student with good grades and potential for success in industry who are not actively pursuing the PharmD degree.
Lewis M. Fetterman, Jr. Memorial Pharmaceutical Sciences Endowed Scholarship – (1) Award to recognize a BSPS student who shows strength in analytical or medicinal chemistry.
Yates Family Scholarship – (1) Award intended to recognize a dedicated BSPS student who shows promise for success in the pharmaceutical industry. Awardees must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater.
Endowed Awards
Pharmaceutical Sciences Faculty Scholarships – (3) Awarded to a student in the BSPS, MSPS or PharmD program who has shown an interest in pharmaceutical research by working in the lab of a department faculty member.
Samuel and Helen Mennear Scholarship – (1) Awarded to recognize a rising senior BSPS student who intends to graduate from the BSPS program without applying to the PharmD program, and who shows promise in the pharmaceutical sciences.
Mark D. Davison Memorial Cardinal Healthcare Endowed Scholarship – (1) This scholarship is awarded to a fulltime student in the bachelors of Pharmaceutical Sciences program with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. Preference should go to (1) a rising BSPS senior within one year of expected graduation, or (2) rising BSPS junior within two years of expected graduation.
