An Hour More or Less

I was sitting in rush-hour traffic and the stoplight was red

when I saw the tinsel and wire form of a ruby/lime candelabra

light up from a telephone pole.

The sun is down at five o'clock now.

White lights wormed around the wire and made the tinsel glitter

(except for the patches that were as dark as holes).

I lost the moment when the light turned from red to green.
