The links to the left cover additional information about Campbell's Quality Enhancement Plan initiative.
What is the QEP?
The QEP is a carefully designed course of action that addresses a well-defined topic or issue related to enhancing student learning. The five-year plan must involve input from the entire Campbell University community – faculty, students, staff, administrators, alumni and trustees. The selected QEP topic must be based on the scholarship and research around best educational practices, with clear outcomes (goals) for student learning and a well-developed assessment plan and research design. The plan must also include resources for implementation. The implementation of our QEP will begin in 2010-2011.
Why does Campbell need a QEP?
Campbell University is in the beginning stages of preparing for our 2011 reaffirmation of accreditation by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). In order to maintain our accreditation, we must document that Campbell meets all the Principles of Accreditation. Core Requirement 2.12 of the Principles of Accreditation asks institutions to develop a QEP for enhancing student learning as part of the process of reaffirmation.
