design and implement an innovative and effective academic support program;
counsel and advise students on academic probation, students “at risk,” and any other students seeking to improve academic performance;

The Athletics Business Officer is the Business office representative responsible for the management, supervision and monitoring of the Athletics departmental budgets on a daily basis. The Athletic Business Officer will work closely with athletic coaches, athletic administration and the accounting office. Daily tasks include purchasing, accounting and cash management. This position serves as the athletics department liaison for the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA, www.ncaa.org) and requires familiarity with NCAA agreed-upon procedures and the Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act (EADA) reporting with the accounting office. This individual also will serve as the athletics summer camp budget director and athletic department representative on various campus committees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Budget: Supervise, review and monitor the status of team and department budgets.
Report Preparation: Prepare monthly budget reports for coaches. Prepare required income and expense reports for University Comptroller and Athletics Director.
Purchasing/Special Event Planning: Make purchases and work closely with various Campbell University departments to make sure special events are staged and produced as required and assist in negotiating contracts for purchases.
Summer Camp: Prepare daily cash deposits and maintain databases for summer camp programs. Monitor camp budgets and prepare profit/loss statements at conclusion of camp activities.
NCAA Audit/EADA Reporting: Work closely with external auditors, athletic administration and University Comptroller to prepare and file annual NCAA reporting as well as the federal government’s EADA report.
Athletics Ticketing Services: Coordinate and supervise the activities, task, equipment, and software related to ticketing for athletics events including assignment and sales of season tickets and single sale tickets. Supervise the ticket and gate management for all athletics events.
Other Duties: Other duties related to this position may be assigned as needed.

A Bachelor’s Degree in business or business-related field is required and a Master’s Degree is preferred. Candidates should also possess two to five years of experience in accounting, cash management, audit preparation, and/or athletic administration.
