Glenn Talmadge Infinger

Humility and servitude are descriptions that are seldom attributed to members of the law profession, but they aptly describe the personal demeanor of Glenn Talmadge Infinger, a 1974 graduate of Campbell University where he received a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Trust Management. Mr. Infinger earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina and is a partner in the law firm of Mazursky Constantine LLC, one of the largest and most prominent legal firms in the Southeast concentrating on employee benefits, executive compensation, human resources law and ERISA litigation. Mr. Infinger’s practice specifically focuses on executive compensation and benefits, employment and separation agreements, equity and other incentive pay arrangements, change in control agreements, trust management and related investment and fiduciary activities along with transactional and compliance issues of qualified and nonqualified benefit plans.

Prior to joining Mazursky Constantine, Glenn was Chief Counsel for Benefits and Executive Compensation at BellSouth Corporation, where he advised the company’s senior executive team and board of directors in respect to human resources matters. Mr. Infinger has also been in private practice as an attorney with law firms in Dallas, Texas and Atlanta, Georgia.

Mr. Infinger is a member of the Georgia and Texas bar associations and the American Bar Association. While in law school, Glenn was named to the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Wig and Robe. He was also a member of the National Moot Court Bar Association.

Glenn is the son of Talmadge and Gracie Infinger of Fuquay-Varina whom are long time friends and supporters of Campbell University. In 1998, Glenn and his wife, Anne, established the Talmadge S. and Gracie Infinger Divinity School Scholarship in honor of his loving parents. This scholarship has assisted many students obtain an education that has equipped them for various ministerial positions. An avid reader, Glenn also enjoys travel and golf. He and Anne are members of the Wieuca Road Baptist Church where he served on the Finance Committee. They are the parents of a son Talmadge, a graduate of Duke University and currently in his second year of law school at Vanderbilt University, and a daughter, Tyler, also a graduate of Duke University who is employed with Pearson Publishing in New York City.

Lloyd Stuart Surles

“Always there when we need him,” “Upfront,” “On the ball,” “A fine fellow,” “He’s got the customer’s interest at heart,” “Our problem is his, too,” “Great one-on-one insurance man, plus he’s truthful,” and “You can count on him,” these are all phrases that Lloyd Stuart Surles’ clients use to refer to their friend and insurance agent.

A 1977 graduate of Campbell University, Stuart Surles received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree majoring in Business Administration. The youngest son of a sharecropper on a farm in Angier, Stuart financed his Campbell education by farming five acres of tobacco and working at various part-time jobs.

Mr. Surles is president of Stuart Surles Insurance Agency, Inc. in Angier, North Carolina. As a member of Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina, Stuart’s business focuses on multi-peril crop insurance, property and casualty, life, health, long term care, accident and disability and Medicare supplemental polices. He is licensed to sell insurance in six different states along the east coast. Since 1998, he has received the annual Platinum Sales Award from Rural Community Insurance Services. Stuart was also the first ever agent to receive the Outstanding Service Award from the National Crop Insurance Service for 2001.

Mr. Surles has supported Campbell University in many ways including serving on the Presidential Board of Advisors and establishing multiple scholarships. He has also supported several capital projects including the Butler Chapel, the Pope Convocation Center and he is currently serving on the Barker/Lane Football Stadium Campaign Cabinet. In 2007, he received Campbell’s Adam Smith Club Free Enterprise Award. Mr. Surles strongly believes in and supports the mission and goals of Campbell University and he credits Campbell with providing him the kind of education that taught him the value of good relationships, the principles of honesty, hard work, dedication, and perseverance, coupled with the importance of community. These values have served him well in his professional life as he has placed top priority on the strength of exemplary services and building solid relationships with his customers.

An active member of his community, Mr. Surles has served on the Harnett County Social Services Board of Directors and is the charter president of the Angier Rotary Club. Stuart is a member of Trinity Baptist Church of Angier. He has two daughters, Morgan, a second year pharmacy student at Campbell University and Brooke, a junior at N.C. State University.

In recognition of his exemplary service to his clients and his alma mater, Campbell University is pleased to name Lloyd Stuart Surles a 2009 Distinguished Alumnus.
