WORK EXPERIENCE:

Wells Fargo Wealth Management, Winston Salem, NC, Trust Intern, June – August 2013. Worked with a Center-Owned team in Philanthropic Services that serviced over 1,000 accounts. Transferred funds through TMM to cover overdrawn accounts.  Completed account reviews for private foundations and discretionary scholarship accounts.  Disbursed checks for scholarship recipients and notified their respective institutions with letters. Examined trust documents for information such as fee language and investment restrictions to complete various projects. Reviewed accounts prior year’s 990-PF tax returns, current year’s distributions, and forecasted disbursements to ensure accounts would meet the required minimum distribution, needed to maintain charitable status. Completed a major project with 800 accounts, ensuring they had sufficient liquid assets to cover tax preparation fees. Developed understanding of Wells Fargo systems including SEI/Trust 3000, TMM, Cash Master, ImageView, FileNet , and Trust Gateway. Carlie C’s IGA, Dunn, NC, Shift Manager, May 2009 - Present.  Count registers to make sure each cashier has the correct amount of cash after their shift. Prepare deposits for the bank. Supervise over 30 employees any given shift. Order items for the store, count inventory, receive and review invoices.  Provide leadership and serve as role model for many young kids. Worked both full time and part time. Parnell’s Green Path Nursery, Godwin, NC, Summer 2006 - Summer 2008.  Planted and watered flowers for the selling season.  Helped deliver flowers to churches and other locations.  Assisted with any job that required any kind of strength as far as moving heavy plants or trees around.

Marianne Thomas

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Eastern Virginia Bankshares, Seasonal Floating Teller for the Middle Peninsula region (May 2013-present), assist customers with various transactions through Integrated Teller (deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, savings bonds, IRA accounts, etc.), promote products and services offered by the bank to influence customers to invest and plan for their future, received an “excellent” rating after a 90 day performance; J. Crew Factory in Smithfield, NC, Sales Associate (March 2012-April 2013), met daily sales goals and helped company improve sales per hour and units per transaction, organized and hosted J. Crew parties to improve sales, marketed the student discount on Campbell University’s campus; Hurds Hardware in Deltaville, VA, Sales Associate (November 2007-December 2012), cashier and assisted in sales, ordered from sales representatives and organized methods of pricing and inventory, assisted with scheduling and product placement.

Alex Thompson

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

Directed and organized marching bands through campus at Green Hope High School for marching band and drum line competitions. Tutored students in Mathematics, specifically algebra at the high school level. Proficient with Microsoft Office and computers in general. Planned and built 5 full tower computers from parts using high performance parts.

Entrusted with the protection and organization of over two thousand confidential client files.  Created and prepared an accommodating atmosphere for clients.  Transferred and updated old client files to a spreadsheet database.  Bahamas Association of Athletic Associations; May 2012-March 2012, Special projects Assistant.  Authorized to assist with the organization and storage of The Bahamas’ national uniforms for five different international competitions including the World Championships Track and field team 2011, assisted in the solicitation process for the funding of international competitions, collected checks and networked with businesses to obtain donations.

Presented with the opportunity to interact with youth weekly, oversaw youth band, and assisted supervisor with daily tasks. Campbell University, Buies Creek, North Carolina, Assistant to Director of Financial Aid (May 2012-Present). Duties consist of assisting the director with relaying information to the student body of Campbell University. Preparing documents/memos, running reports and managing student files for a student body of approximately 7,200 students. Gained exposure in the fields of consumer relations as well as data management. Most days consisted of the development of letters (ranging from 100-200) as well as financial aid award letters that were sent out to the students on a daily bases Maintaining up to date department charts to inform colleagues of changes in student enrollment. Campbell University, Buies Creek, North Carolina, Department of Athletics and Marketing (May 2013- Present). Duties consist of marketing the Campbell name and preparing for Campbell athletic events. Responsible for the task of video recording athletic events, which included the recording and/or music preparation for football, basketball, and other Campbell athletic events. Campbell University, Buies Creek, North Carolina, Department of Student Success. (August 2012-May). Duties consisted of being a note taker in classes, and preparing notes for other students with documented disabilities. Served as a student tutor to help student with clarification of certain topics as well as class work. Campbell University, Buies Creek, North Carolina, Department of Residence Life (August 2011- May 2012). Duties consisted of monitoring one of the male dormitories on campus. Responsibility for overseeing the "open house" hours as well addressing problems that arose for residences. Mayberry Restaurant, Reidsville, North Carolina. (January 2010- August 2012). Promoted to Manager after four months of working. Duties consisted of managing a team of more than 20 professionals, and leading them in daily tasks. Increased monthly profits (of 11% the first month) by initiating, and overseeing credit card sales. Alongside of starting the new credit card sales, responsibilities also included directing strategic initiatives to achieve higher profits for the coming months.

Crescent Golf Club, Salisbury, NC, July 2011 to August 2012. Handled various tasks surrounding the day-to-day activities of running and maintaining a golf course. Responsibilities included managing customer’s memberships, handling cash and credit card transactions of approximately $4000 per day, scheduling tee times, as well as scheduling and set up tournaments for various companies and organizations. Sears Retail Dealer Store, Tarboro, NC, Summer 2006 to Summer 2007. Helped with sales and customer relations in a family business. Sold a wide range of products including televisions, lawn tractors, and kitchen appliances. Assisted with transactions at the cash register. Worked with team to deliver and install products including refrigerators, ranges, televisions, and other household appliances.
