Internships at accredited PGA facilities are essential to providing students with the necessary skills to be successful in whatever career path they choose in the golf industry.
Students must complete 16+ months of internships in order to obtain Class-A membership in the PGA. The internship program is set up to be completed in 3 phases:
- Phase I (3-months) Summer following Freshman year
- Phase II (6-months) Summer/Fall following Sophomore year
- Phase III (7-months) Summer/Fall following Junior year
Every Campbell University PGA Golf Management student is required to complete at least one internship at a “green grass” facility (golf course/driving range). It is recommended that students use these internships to experience three different types of golf industry facilities (public, private, resort).
All internships are done with the approval of our Assistant Director and the cooperation and leadership of PGA Members across the country. All sites must be reviewed and approved by the Assistant Director.
