Attending Campbell University's PGA Golf Management Program was one of the best decisions I have ever made.  The program gave me the knowledge and experience that has allowed me to grow my career in the golf industry. Campbell’s program has a great reputation and employers in the golf business know that Campbell University produces hard working professionals under Ken Jones' leadership. The countless hours spent on the practice tee along with the camaraderie  on the Keith Hills golf course with all of the PGA Golf Management students made my college experience special with great memories.  It is fun to keep in touch with the lifelong friends I have made at Campbell who are golf pros throughout the country.  I am proud to be an alumni and graduate from Campbell University and the PGA Golf Management Program.

Down Under! Over the last 4 months, I was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work overseas in New Zealand at The Farm at Cape Kidnappers. This gave me the chance to continue to develop and grow as a golf professional by gaining more experience. More importantly, however, it gave me the chance to travel and see a new part of the world. The Farm at Cape Kidnappers opened in 2004 and quickly climbed its way into one of the top golf courses in the world. The golf course is owned by an American named Julian Robertson, who loves giving young American golf professionals the opportunity to work at a world renowned golf course. When not working in the golf shop, cleaning carts, hoofing golf bags, or cleaning the range, time was spent jumping out of airplanes, bungee jumping, water rafting, experiencing the native cuisine, and best of all, golfing. I quickly learned that the “Kiwi’s” are quite adventurous people. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and a great mix of vacation and work. It was a great way to re-energize myself for a busy golf season back on North American soil.

After graduating from Campbell University in December 2010, I accepted a position as a teaching professional with the PGA Tour Academy in St. Augustine, Florida. I specifically searched for a teaching position, and now I teach private lessons, provide clinics and lead golf schools on a daily basis at the academy. The golf schools and clinics range from two to five days in length. We have programs designed for men, women, juniors and seniors of all abilities and cover a wide range of topics. One of the most exciting experiences of my post-graduate career has included the opportunity to work with players on major professional tours including the PGA Tour, Nationwide Tour, and Asian Tour. I have been sought out in part due to the education I received as a student at Campbell.  Traveling to different cities each week and touring with some of the best players in the world has been incredible and a bit surreal at times. This experience was highlighted by walking a practice round at a Nationwide Tour event with former college advisor, David Orr, while working with one of my clients.
