EDUCATION:

Campbell University, Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing: Expected date of graduation December 2012: Dean’s List and Presidential Scholarship. Greenville Technical College, Diploma in Dental Assisting: December 2006, graduated with honors.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Temporary: Dental Assistant, Jan. 2008-May 2008. I assisted doctors in the Raleigh area, provided customer service, maintained asepsis techniques, assisted with restorations, root canals, extractions, and crowns. In addition, I prepared operatories, took x-rays, and provided patients with understanding of procedures. Mother: Caregiver, June 2007-Jan. 2008. I coordinated Doctors’ and Nurses’ visits with hospice, administered medications, managed assets, and provided personal care. Julian Thomas Family and Cosmetic Dentistry: Dental Assistant Dec. 2006-June 2007. I informed patients of procedures, maintained inventory, ordered supplies, assisted with composite restorations, root canals, extractions, veneers, and crowns. In addition, I prepared operatories, performed asepsis techniques, took x-rays, constructed dental models, made bleach trays, took impressions, and confirmed appointments. Student Greenville Technical College: Clinical Rotations, 2005-2006. I assisted different doctors at several different locations in the Greenville Area. Belk: Bobbi Brown Makeup Artist/Origins Counter Manager, Feb. 2002-May 2005. I held two different positions where I achieved the highest sales per hour and units per transaction in each position. I was recognized for sales achievements by founder (Bobbi Brown) and received an invitation to appear as a featured makeup artist in a Bobbi Brown public appearance. Origins: Store Manager, Feb. 2002 Oct.2002. I managed a retail store where I set sales goals and objectives for employees, hired personnel, developed work schedules managed cash and inventory, and provided customer service. I earned a bonus for achieving sales goals, and for managing one of the top ten stores three weeks in a row for a recent product launch. Belk Origins Counter: Beauty Advisor/ Counter Manager Oct. 2001-Feb. 2004. I held two different positions where I achieved sales goals, gave excellent customer service, and trained employees on how to sell products. I increased sales over of previous years and helped to improve departmental ranking over previous year. I was ultimately offered a Store Manager position by Origins Corporation.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

USDA, Rural Development Student Trainee, Sanford, NC, January 3, 2012 – Present: The position entails interviews with applicants applying for mortgage assistance through USDA, Rural Development to ensure accurate information is collected to make eligibility and credit decisions. Deal with both direct and guaranteed mortgage loan programs by receiving instruction regarding Rural Development underwriting policies and procedures. Perform financial analysis to determine repayment capacity ratios, evaluate credit risk factors, and financial stability under the direction of the lead Area Specialist. Conduct site visits to properties to evaluate suitability for financing as well as identify repair items needed. Maintain a working relationship with other government agencies, attorneys, realtors, and mortgage underwriters. Wilson & Reives Attorneys at Law, Sanford, NC, summers 2011-2012. Responsibilities included interpreting and translating documents for clients and attorneys. Prepared paperwork, sent out letters, met with clients, and went to the Courthouse to file paperwork. Skills acquired include an understanding of criminal, family law, and personal injury. Lee County Department of Special Programs, Sanford, NC, summers 2009-2010: Responsibilities were to call and inform parents about school events, set appointments for English proficiency testing for incoming kindergartners, and translated documents from English to Spanish in supporting non-English speaking families. Lee County Board of Education, Assistant to Director, ESL Summer program, Sanford, NC, summers 2008-2010: Duties included translating various documents from English to Spanish, tutor and mentor ESL middle school students, prepared attendance rosters and lunch schedules, and monitored students’ speaking and writing skills.

Aug. 2008 – Jan. 2009: Sales Person and Advisor at tennis shop White Sport A/S, Oesterbro, Denmark: Advised numerous customers on what to purchase in order to cover their needs in racket sports. Strung tennis, squash and badminton rackets. Ordered items from large companies such as Nike, Adidas, and K-Swiss. Attended meetings with different salesmen from several other companies.

Feb. 2009 – Present: Professional Stringer and Advisor at tennis shop Ketchergalleriet, Frederiksberg, Denmark: Developed skills for and participated in the professional stringing of different rackets. Expanded expertise to more than tennis and squash – badminton.

Jan. 2006 – Present: Tennis coach at Kjoebenhavns Boldklub in Denmark: Organize individual tennis lessons (200 individual lessons). Manage several tennis camps for children from ages 8-16. Manage and supervise multiple tennis camps for adults. Create progress reports for head coaches.

EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:

Campbell University Division 1 Athlete, Travelled in Europe and played many International Junior and Senior Tournaments, Vice President of Student Athletic Advisory Committee, Member of Honorary Fellows at Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College, High school degree from Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College, graduated at the top of his class which resulted in a two-time nominee for a Fulbright Scholarship for Outstanding European Students.

Possess great oral and written communication skills that are exhibited through fluency in three languages: Czcech, Danish, and English, and conversational skills in German and French.
