WORK EXPERIENCE:

Logistics/Supply Chain Management/Transportation Manager (2004-2010) – Managed the supply chain, analyzing needs and generating critical best practices, which supported three theaters of operation, simultaneously, while maintaining readiness to support a fourth in the event of a national emergency. Managed a multi-million dollar budget supporting the procurement and shipping of supplies, equipment, and personnel supporting national command priorities. Managed the reception, staging, and onward integration of thousands of personnel per month into and out of all theaters of operation. Planned for and coordinated the support for multiple Joint Interagency Conferences attended by several National Agency Directors (Director NSA, Director FBI, Director DIA, etc…) as well as several U.S. Ambassadors to include setup and conduct of follow on reception at conclusion of conferences. Conducted and implemented Lean/Six-Sigma event that positively affected unit transportation preparation and tracking processes for transportation of cargo reducing manpower requirements by 50%. Managed the daily activities of 15 personnel. Transportation Manager (1988-2004) – Managed the planning and transportation of all supplies, equipment, and personnel for movement of various Marine Corps units supporting both exercise and real-world operations via air, sea, and land ensuring total asset visibility throughout the transportation processes. Supervised and ensured vital logistics support was provided ensuring various task force successes. Utilized and taught the use of Logistics Automated Information Systems to input transportation data and providing total asset visibility of all supplies and equipment throughout the transportation processes. Provided leadership and training to all subordinate personnel ensuring all personnel were task oriented and appropriately trained. Supervised and maximized air and sea terminals for the shipping and receiving of all engaged forces on major joint and multi-lateral exercises ensuring appropriate international immigrations and customs regulations were followed. Expert in the utilization of all Microsoft software.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

RIPS Baseball Program, Burien, Washington. (Summer of 2012) Non-paid coach for a 15 year old summer baseball team. Responsibilities included planning and organizing practices. I also helped the players grow in their skill, enhance their sportsmanship, and mature in life. This position taught me responsibility and enhanced my teaching ability. Tacoma Community College, Tacoma, Washington. (Sep. 2009-June 2011) Work Study. Responsibilities included managing sporting events. I also was vital in making sure that the events ran smoothly. Grace Community Church, Auburn, Washington. (2006-2008) Volunteer for the youth basketball program. I refereed games to help the children learn about the game of basketball and sportsmanship. It showed me that by staying on top of my tasks and duties in the position I was given would result in the whole event running. I also learned a lot about conflict resolution. Often times coaches would get in disagreements over the way the game was being played and the responsibility fell on my shoulders to help resolve these disagreements. Auburn Food Bank, Auburn, Washington. (April 2007) I managed an event to gather supplies for a food bank. This event included organizing a dinner in which people could make donations. Managing this dinner taught me a lot about time management and skills it takes to schedule a large fundraising function.

Varsity Baseball at Tacoma College (Sep. 2009-June 2011) Varsity Baseball at Campbell University (Aug. 2011-Present) Summer Collegiate Baseball in the New York Collegiate League (Summers 2010-2011) Both of these have taught me a lot of responsibility. Days are long just like in the working environment and punctuality is key. Also, it has taken a lot of discipline. The time commitment put into practicing baseball and staying successful at academics has been a challenge.

Campbell University Residence Life; October 2011 to present. Develop, coordinate and maintain residence hall community while enforcing the rules of Campbell University as a Resident Assistant. Campbell University Student Services; August 2012 to present. Tutor math and business classes for Campbell students. Cale: Camp and Conference Center; May 2007 to August 2012. Coordinated programs and upheld the morale of the counselors and campers as program coordinator and senior counselor.

Attending to students with various research needs, assisting them with library database and reserves, and aiding the librarian with bookkeeping duties. Held a position as Hostess/Cashier at O’Charleys, summer of 2010. The hosting position consisted of greeting guest and seating them in desired areas, answering and taking to go order via telephone and face-to-face. Pertained positions in Data Entry for TriMark FoodCraft (2011); duties included entering customer/ company information into the database and charging customer credit cards for merchandise. Performed additional duties as Data Entry Clerk for Campus Safety at Campbell University (2010); duties there included: entering student and faculty decal information to be charged to faculty and student accounts. Cashier/Certified Trainer at Papa Johns, 2009-2010 for Aramark at Campbell University, responsibilities included preparation of pizza and other related foods, stocking and unstocking food, handling cutting board,serving customers, taking and ringing in in-store and to-go orders.

USDA, Rural Development Student Trainee, Sanford, NC, January 3, 2012 – Present: The position entails interviews with applicants applying for mortgage assistance through USDA, Rural Development to ensure accurate information is collected to make eligibility and credit decisions. Deal with both direct and guaranteed mortgage loan programs by receiving instruction regarding Rural Development underwriting policies and procedures. Perform financial analysis to determine repayment capacity ratios, evaluate credit risk factors, and financial stability under the direction of the lead Area Specialist. Conduct site visits to properties to evaluate suitability for financing as well as identify repair items needed. Maintain a working relationship with other government agencies, attorneys, realtors, and mortgage underwriters. Wilson & Reives Attorneys at Law, Sanford, NC, summers 2011-2012. Responsibilities included interpreting and translating documents for clients and attorneys. Prepared paperwork, sent out letters, met with clients, and went to the Courthouse to file paperwork. Skills acquired include an understanding of criminal, family law, and personal injury. Lee County Department of Special Programs, Sanford, NC, summers 2009-2010: Responsibilities were to call and inform parents about school events, set appointments for English proficiency testing for incoming kindergartners, and translated documents from English to Spanish in supporting non-English speaking families. BOLCHOZ FOR ATTORNEY GENERAL 2010-2011. Campaign Volunteer, Attended over 25 campaign events across the state to promote the candidate's platform to the public. Worked with campaign manager to coordinate volunteer efforts. Distributed marketing materials including yard signs, flyers, stickers, and apparel to hundreds of voters. CAROLINA FLUIDAIR OF COLUMBIA 2010. Warehouse Assistant, Sorted inventory as it was received and organized in order to make shipping efforts efficient. Collected inventory, prepared, and sent out according to shipping requests to ensure orders arrived correctly and on time. Assisted in making sure all incoming and outgoing equipment was accounted for and inventory flow ran smoothly. CARDINAL NEWMAN HIGH SCHOOL 2008-2009. Maintenance Staff, ensured all school facilities were kept clean and working properly. Helped faculty in the rearrangement of school property for the new school year. Reported any improper functioning facilities to the head of school property.
