Duties involving: corresponding with clients to ensure most recent documents on file, coordinating with trust advisor, managing director, central will vault, and EPDRU to ensure new business is accepted in compliance with bank policy; Further duties involved interpreting document to ascertain the directives of the grantor. Additional activities included supporting Trust Advisors during annual personal trust client meetings, which duties included: preparation of presentations for client meetings, assisting Trust Advisor and helping clients to understand changes made in investments scenarios and how this coincided with achieving the goals initially set out by trust documents. Further daily activities included assisting Trust Advisor with account compliance and regulation issues. Worked with Estate Settlement Group: Duties included helping with preparation of probate applications and inventories, reconsolidation of bank accounts, document interpretation, and following up with creditors of the estate to ensure claims are cleared with Probate Clerk of Court. Experience included completion of all training courses relevant to the intern position, including online investment, customer service, and bank policy tutorials; visiting two real estate sites passing into trust in order to gain knowledge on trust real estate procedures; reviewing trust documents and wills prior to account opening; requesting updated brokerage statements from other financial institutions for accounts transferring into the Bank; determining appropriate application of UPIA adjustment powers to more than twenty existing trust accounts in the Chevy Chase, MD and Washington, DC offices; presenting accounts for committee approval regarding new account openings, discretionary matters, and UPIA adjustment determinations; contributing to client meetings, bank meetings, and conference calls; interacting with associates in other departments and offices at bank functions and through email and interoffice mail; and volunteering with Team Bank of America as an economics teacher at Stanton Elementary School, Washington, DC.
