WORK EXPERIENCE:

Office Depot, July 2002-Present, Sales Associate.  Duties included handling customer relations, providing quality customer service on a continuous basis to insure a pleasant experience and repeat customer visits.  Greeted and assisted customers with check-out, assisted and resolved customer complaints and provided information as requested. 

Eckerd Drug, May 1999-June 2002, Service Assistant Manager.  Duties include handling customer complaints, providing good customer service, managed cash, daily bank deposits, and monitor all employee activities.

WORK EXPERIENCE: 

Bank of America Private Bank, Hartford, CT.  May-August 2007.  Global Wealth and Investment Management Intern.  Regularly attended various committee meetings, including TOC, AIRC, UPIA, Trust Real Property, Estate Settlement, Philanthropic Management, and CMP.  Completed discretionary distribution requests, client profiles and account summaries, changed coding in PACE, divided assets to fund a GRAT, attended a deep dive meeting, processed foreign wires, claimed unclaimed property, completed assignments through the Associate Learning Portal, and processed checks and recipient letters for a scholarship fund.  Followed more than thirty UPIAs through the entire process – completed determination and analysis forms, attended the committee meetings, changed coding in PACE to reflect the adjustment decision, set up ticklers in PACE, sent notification letters to beneficiaries as needed, and verified that all beneficiaries and remaindermen were receiving statements.  Handled looking up ticklers on PACE and sending client letters regarding required minimum distributions from retirement accounts.  Shadowed experienced employees in the Trust Real Estate, Event Planning, Specialty Asset Management, and Philanthropic Management departments.  Outside of the office, attended a probate court hearing, represented the bank at a Bank of America-sponsored Boys and Girls Club event, and attended several seminars concerning elder law, charitable giving, estate planning, and stock concentrations.  Adam and Beth Katz, Buies Creek, NC.  January 2003-present.  Babysitter.  Provided supervision and care for three children, ages five through nine, at least one day per week.  Developed and utilized skills such as conflict resolution, time management, multitasking, and organization.  Hollowell Law Offices, P.A., Raleigh, NC.  April-August 2006.  Receptionist and Legal Assistant.  Responsibilities included directing calls on a multi-line telephone system, creating and maintaining both hard-copy and electronic client files, logging all incoming and outgoing correspondence, transcription, drafting of documents and correspondence, occasional legal research, and miscellaneous office duties.  National Agents Alliance/Katz Agency, Dunn, NC.  May 2005-April 2006.  Receptionist, Sales Coordinator, and Human Resources Director.  Duies included answering the telephone and directing calls, conducting preliminary telephone interviews with individuals who expressed interest in becoming a contracted agent with NAA, scheduling qualified candidates for interviews with the agency director, filing, and organizing and distributing weekly sales assignments to agents throughout the country.  Worked closely with another team member to recruit more than sixty new agents over a three-month period.  Occasionally completed tasks from home, which required trustworthiness and motivation.  Campbell University, Buies Creek, NC.  September 2003-May 2005.  Student Worker.  Employed in the Office of Alumni Relations and Special Events.  Worked as a team with other students to acquire and file alumni and current student information and assisted with any special events held on campus, such as Homecoming, Christmas at Campbell, senior fairs, and the 2004 University Presidential Inauguration.  The Limited, Cary, NC.  May-August 2004.  Sales Associate.  Assisted customers in selecting clothing and accessories, filed credit card applications, rang up purchases and returns, and changed floor sets according to company specifications.  Was able to work well with other members of the staff to reach the company’s sales goals.  Kerr Drug Pharmacy, Fuquay-Varina, NC.  August 2001-July 2003.  Pharmacy Cashier.  Served patrons by ringing up their purchases at the counter and at the drive-thru window, and returned to stock prescriptions which were not picked up.

Nordstrom salesperson, Durham, N.C. May-July 2004, 2005, and 2006, December 2004, and 2005. Learning included developing communication skills to be able to effectively and efficiently fulfill customer’s needs and wants, developing stronger human relation skills, demonstrating and building responsibility and dependability, and working well in a team driven environment. Food Lion stockperson, Apex N.C, July 2002-March 2003. Through this experience I learned important time management skills in completing a task in a certain amount of time. Special skills include being able to relate to people and work well in a team.

Completed coding and fee projects, participated in meetings for various Risk-Avoidance and Compliance Committees, prepared client presentations.  Bank of America Global Wealth Investment Management Intern (May 2006-July 2006): Assisted Regional Trust Officers in their daily tasks of discretionary reviews, account administrative reviews, Regulation Nine reviews, discretionary ratifications, overdrafts, proactives and client interaction; Completed discretionary clean up-projects, tax fee projects and document retrieval projects; Participated in Administrative and Investment Review Committee Meetings as well as phone conference seminars; Branch Banking and Trust Corporation Teller (July 2003-Present): Responsible for client services to both large scale commercial clients and personal account holders in the Charlotte-Metro Region and areas of Harnett County. Duties included organizing and conducting new-member orientations and fitness evaluations, dealing with member questions and concerns, cleaning and maintaining all equipment, teaching a class on the benefits of fitness and proper use of fitness room to ages 12-15, staff scheduling, and pay-roll responsibilities. Gained experience in personal relations among members and staff with the responsibility of knowing all equipment. Ham's Restaurant, High Point, NC, Host Staff, Christmas 2003. Duties included welcoming and seating customers and helping wait-staff when needed. Gained experience in handling customer questions and concerns. Green Valley Park, Swimming Pool, Greensboro, NC, Head Lifeguard, Summer 2001-2004. Duties included overseeing daily operations of the pool, monitoring petty-cash, organizing swim meet and social events, instructing swim-lessons, staff scheduling, handling customer questions and concerns, working in cooperation with pool management and board members, monitoring pool chemicals, and maintaining the cleanliness of the pool deck, restrooms, parking lot, and grounds. Gained experience in customer relations and resource management. Green Valley Park, Grill, Greensboro, NC, Summer 1999-2002. Duties included taking customer orders, preparing food, maintaining a clean environment, handling customer questions and concerns, totaling daily sales, handling voids, and monitoring cash-intake on a daily basis.
