In
the fall of 1994, the Campbell University Adam Smith Club, a student organization
dedicated to promoting the free market, individual liberty and minimal
government, and the Lundy Chair Philosophy of Business started a new speakers program
called the FREE Forum. FREE is an acronym for Foundations of Rational
Economic Education. The FREE Forum sponsors lectures by journalists,
academicians, and policy makers with national reputations. These talks
are publicized throughout eastern North Carolina and are free
and open to the public. These events typically attract as many as one
hundred participants from throughout the Triangle and Fayetteville
areas. The FREE Forum has quickly become a focal point for
people throughout the region who are interested in learning more about
free market ideas. The FREE Forum is funded through the private
contributions of the Adam Smith Club’s Patrons and Supporters. |
