C4 Children’s Choir Camp
C4 Children’s Choir Camp will be held on June 13-17, 2016.
CAMPBELL CHILDREN’S CHOIR CAMP 2016
The Campbell Children’s Choir Camp is designed for singers in rising 4th through 7th grades. Structured as a day camp experience (no overnight), each participant will be part of both large ensemble and small group instruction. The purpose of the Campbell Children’s Choir Camp is to develop the musical skills of every participant, particularly in the area of choral performance. C4 is a conservatory-type camp with a goal of involving children who love singing and have an aptitude for music.
Students can anticipate learning and performing challenging literature in a choir of 60-70 singers. Enrollment is limited, so interested persons should respond as soon as possible. Questions may be directed to 910-893-1495, or 919-434-5716.
Daily small group instruction will feature concentrated work in music theory, vocal technique, creative musicianship and movement. Opportunity for recreation and making new friends combine to make C4 an enriching experiencee for all participants.
C4 camp concludes with a formal concert on Friday evening, June 17. Performing in the beautiful Scott Concert Hall, singers have an opportunity to demonstrate their sharpened musical skills and to experience the rewards of artistic choral presentation. The closing concert is required of all campers.
A compact disc commemorating C4 2016 will be produced by Manring Recording, Raleigh, NC. Campers will have an opportunity to purchase these CDs for a cost of $20.00 each. The disc is in enhanced CD format, featuring studio-quality audio and digital photos. DVD recordings will also be available for purchase.
