Scholarly Activities

Dr. Morefield recently published an anthology of film criticism, Faith and Spirituality in Masters of World Cinema (Cambridge Scholars Press). He wrote the entry for “Christian Fiction” in Books and Beyond: The Greenwood Encyclopedia of New American Reading. He also contributed an article, “’Yes, I am, Cartman!’: The Cool Judaism of Kyle Broslofski” to the anthology The Deep End of South Park (Stratyner & Keller; McFarland Publishing).

Dr. Rambo’s most recent scholarship includes publications and conference presentations. She is co-editor of the anthology Buffy Goes Dark: Essays on the Final Two Seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer on Television (McFarland, 2008), which includes her essay "Yeats's Entropic Gyre and Season Six." Her essay "'I've Got a Little List' or 'You Guys Wanna Team Up and Take Over SunnydaleU?'" appears in Buffy and Angel Conquer the Internet: Essays on Online Fandom, ed. Mary Kirby-Diaz (McFarland, 2009). She served as keynote speaker at the SC3: The Slayage Conference on the Whedonverses (2008) and spoke on “The Myth of the Woman Warrior in Medieval Irish Legend” as part of the East Carolina University Medieval Irish History and Archaeology Lecture Series (Mar. 2008). Dr. Rambo currently serves on the editorial board of Slayage: the Online International Journal of Buffy Studies http://slayageonline.com/ and regularly participates in and leads workshops on reading Chaucer's Middle English aloud.
