Events & Activities
Via the Mabel Powell English Club and the Lyricist, the department hosts many student activities such as Poetry Readings and open Mic Night; cultural activities such as trips to art galleries and NC Shakespeare festival; trips related to literary course work such as those to Williamsburg, Virginia, or Old Salem, North Carolina; and fun trips such as the Renaissance Faire in Charlotte and Raleigh. Students have sponsored floats in the Campbell University Homecoming parade, have participated in readings at a local elderly care home, and have participated in service projects at a women’s shelter.
