Sponsorship Opportunity
As in past years, the Academy invites academic societies, professional organizations, scientific companies and other interested parties to sponsor the activities of its annual meeting. The theme of this year's annual meeting is "Environmental Stewardship". The program includes a prestigious keynote speaker, a public forum on an immediate environmental concern to NC (drilling and fracking) and a variety of workshops and special sessions meant to engage individuals with a variety of interests in science. The costs involved in delivering a high quality meeting such as this are substantial. Because the Academy maintains comparatively low registration costs and banquet fees to facilitate full participation, especially by undergraduate and graduate students, financial support from sources outside the Academy are a necessary supplement to the registration and banquet fees. This year we invite sponsors to participate at 4 levels of support described below, although a donation to fund this year's meeting of any amount is greatly appreciated.
Benefits of Sponsorship
Your contribution, along with others from corporate and institutional sources, will enable the Academy to conduct a meeting that will educational, professionally stimulating and memorable for all who attend. In addition, your organization will be recognized as an important financial supporter on the Annual Meeting webpage, in the NCAS Newsletter, and in the Annual Meeting program. Upon request, sponsors will also be provided a display table at the meeting which will be centrally located along with meeting events to maximize visibility. Finally, since the NC Academy of Science is a non-profit organization, your contribution is tax-deductible.
To help us recognize your sponsorship, please send us a high resolution image of your logo as soon as possible to Dr. Karen Guzman. We will begin posting them on the website as soon as we receive your contribution. For inclusion in the meeting program, all logos will need to be received my March 1, 2012.
Registration
Please be sure to register any representatives that will be attending the meeting, so that we can have badges and lunches available for them, and be sure to request an exhibitor table if desired. You can access online registration here. The number of registration fees included in each level of sponsorship is included below, so if you have more representatives than covered, please be sure to go to the registration payment page after registering as well.
