Transferability Information
Beginning June 29, 2009, service members will go to http://milconnect.dmdc.mil to complete the application to transfer benefits.
When the web portal shows APPROVAL of the transfer, the family member should complete the application (VA Form 22-1990E) on the VA website (www.gibill.va.gov).
Post 9/11 GI Bill:
VA will pay a private school $19,198.31 a year. For more information on the Post 9/11 GI Bill go to the following link, http://www.gibill.va.gov/benefits/post_911_gibill/index.html.
Post 9/11 GI Bill – Yellow Ribbon Program:
We are currently participating in the Yellow Ribbon program but it is a renewable agreement each year. You can contact my office or look at the following website for up to date information. http://www.gibill.va.gov/benefits/post_911_gibill/yellow_ribbon_program.html.
