There have been many classes I have enjoyed at Campbell University, but my math courses have been my favorite. Initially, I came into Campbell as a biology major, but soon after my first year as a science major, I realized my niche was mathematics.

One of the most important things a person should do as a freshman is to join a club that is appealing to them. Clubs are a way to meet new people, especially if you are shy like me. When I first came to Campbell, I joined three clubs.

Acting is one of my passions! I was extremely self-conscious and introverted until high school. My high school had a program where students would be guaranteed a spot in an arts class every year. We could pick a “major,” and I chose theatre. Theatre has helped me become the person I am today. While I didn’t want to major in theatre in college, I still hoped I could be involved in some way.

As I sat in my first class of the day on January 28, all I could think about was the possibility of snow. With high hopes that the blizzard would hit Buies Creek, I began to wish that classes might get canceled for one day. As the day went on, we received an email saying classes after 2:00 p.m. would be canceled due to the possibility of snow.

Once a year, buyers and professionals from all around the world assemble in Orlando, Florida for the annual PGA Merchandise Show. The Orange County Convention Center was probably one of the biggest centers I have ever been to in my life. Walking the entire floor was at least the equivalent of walking three miles on a track.

I grew up surrounded by a community that focuses on serving one another. When I learned that Campbell University also shares the same passion for service, I knew I would be in a place where I could continue to serve others. The University has numerous opportunities for students to begin building relationships that will last a lifetime.
