A Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in International Business may be earned from Campbell University. Our well-rounded curriculum provides a balance between the broad liberal arts and the business specialization sought by multinational corporations. Additionally, our students are grounded in one or more foreign languages, an in valuable asset in international business.
The Campbell Approach
The wide scope of the Lundy-Fetterman School of Business gives you a selection of more than 80 courses. Yet within this wide array, classes are small. The typical class size for our majors is 20, a number that provides ample opportunity for discussion, simulations, case study presentations, and various types of projects. We also make extensive use of field trips, visiting speakers, and a lecture series. Most of our courses are supported by user-friendly, computer-assisted tutorial packages.
In addition, our internship program provides students with the hands-on experiences that enhance their value in the job marketplace. We take special pride in placing interns in settings that match their interests. As a result, our students have worked in countries scattered form Europe to Latin America and throughout the U.S. and Canada.
The Campbell Student
The International Business major tends to be a self-motivated, leadership-oriented individual who seeks the challenge and the extensive travel associated with global marketplaces. About two-thirds of our graduates go on to entry-level management and marketing positions with a variety of companies. The remainders pursue a graduate degree.
The quality of our program and our majors is reflected in our high job placement rates: more than 80% of those who maintain a placement portfolio with the Office of Career Development and Placement have employment in their fields within six weeks of graduation.
Course Requirements
To earn a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a major in International Business the following courses in addition to the core curriculum is required: ACCT 213, 214; BADM 221, 222, 300, 313, 314, 331, 345, 369, 413, 468, 490; CIS 125; ECON 223, 224, 448, 449, 453; Foreign Language Electives 201, 202, 231, 232, and a 300-level foreign-literature course sequence in French or Spanish; GOVT 229, 343, 345.

students may substitute any elective course, preferably
in foreign languages and/or Government/History, for the English

completing any two of the following literature courses: English 201, 202,
203, 204, or 205.
Options for International Business Majors Whose
Native Language Is Not English International Business
majors whose native language is not English may choose between the
following two options: 1. Foreign
Language Option (i.e., the Standard International Business
Curriculum). Fulfilling the foreign language requirement that all
International Business majors whose native language is English must
fulfill (Foreign Language 201, 202, 231, 232, and a 300-level literature
course). Note:
No student will be permitted to satisfy the foreign language requirement
with courses in his native
language. (For example,
native speakers of Spanish may not fulfill this requirement with Spanish
language courses.) 2.
Business/Area Study Option. Instead of fulfilling the foreign
language sequence described above, both:
A. Taking an additional literature course, from
among the following: English 201, 202, 203, 204, or
205. [Note that all International Business majors, regardless of
native language or option selected,
are required to take one of these four literature courses, as well as
English 101 and 102.]
B. Taking any four courses from either or both of
the following groups:
(1) Any additional courses at the 300-level or
above tat are offered within the School of
Business beyond those already required of International Business majors.
