Daniel M. Rodgers
Daniel M. Rodgers has had a propensity for drawing and painting since he was a child growing up in the mountains of Virginia. Getting his first taste of art classes in college he went on to a Masters in Illustration from SCAD. After many years working in the advertising realm he now teaches in the Art Department of Campbell University in NC.

Working in both oil and watercolor Danny can find something to paint in any setting. Viewing the world through squinting eyes he brings out the beauty in the ordinary we see around us. Whether a sunset on a lake, gourds growing on the fence or the wood pile out back of his father’s house he wants to show the glory of the creator by bringing the beauty of the world to others. While painting landscapes and still life’s bring satisfaction and pleasure, painting people is where his passion lies. Showing the laughter in a child’s eye, the wisdom of an old man or the innocence of a young girl are what drives him to paint.

Breck Smith
Breck Smith is a native of Natural Bridge, Virginia who received his B.A. in Studio Art from Averett College (now Averett University) in Danville, Virginia. Smith went on to receive his MFA in Studio Art with a concentration in Drawing and Painting from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. After graduate school, Smith worked as an Exhibit Design Technician at the North Carolina Zoological Park before coming to Campbell University.

In 1990, Smith received a North Carolina Artist Fellowship from the North Carolina Arts Council. In 2007, Smith received a Partial Fellowship to attend Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, Vermont as a Resident for four weeks.
