University Communications and Marketing
What we do
University Communications and Marketing highlights, communicates and promotes the activities of Campbell University’s faculty, staff and students, and acts as a liaison between the university and its constituents, including the public, news media, stakeholders and alumni. Among the communications team’s responsibilities are distributing news releases and managing the university’s internal and external communications. The office produces several print and online publications, including Campbell Magazine and We Are Campbell, and oversees the university’s main website and key social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter.
University Communications and Marketing is tasked with developing, implementing and managing Campbell’s internal and external communication efforts, through print and electronic media. Our mission is to enhance public awareness of the exciting achievements, developments and events of Campbell University and to coordinate the publicity for those events. Our staff gathers information and develops news stories to disseminate to various local, state and national media outlets. In addition, the department also produces numerous publications for Campbell alumni, students and friends. Those publications include the Campbell University Magazine, Accolades, and the University Report.
The University Communications and Marketing team is responsible for several publications each year, chief among them Campbell Magazine (which publishes three times a year) and the annual University Report and faculty/staff Accolades. Campbell Magazine and the 2012 University Report were winners of three regional awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education in 2013. The department also designed and edited Campbell’s 125th Anniversary book, which was also recognized by CASE in 2013.
