Groundskeeper

Description

The Groundskeeper will be responsible for completing general groundskeeping duties including, mowing, blowing, weeding, trimming, pruning, sidewalk repair, general landscaping, etc.

Senior Systems Administrator

Description

The Senior Systems Administrator applies an in-depth working knowledge of information technology products and services to assignments and assists the Director of Information Technology in the application of technical concepts, practices and procedures. Support includes specifications, installation, testing, and support of computer systems and peripherals within established guidelines and ability to complete application project-based work.

Requirements | Qualifications

The successful candidate will have 5+ years of related experience and training. The candidate will have advanced knowledge of Windows 7 Operating System in an enterprise environment and Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of web application development processes, from the layout/user interface to relational database structures and an advanced knowledge of Active Directory. The candidate will have a basic knowledge of network protocols, both LAN and wireless and of TCP/IP.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Installs, configures, and troubleshoots desktop PC, laptops PC, tablets and smartphones, as well as associated peripherals for students, administration, faculty, and staff in office, classroom, clinical, and laboratory environments.
  • Performs desktop and laptop system deployments including hardware and software configuration primarily on Dell computers.
  • Maintain audio/visual systems in lecture halls, classrooms, conference rooms, laboratories, medical examination, and emergency simulation rooms.
  • Performs computer imaging, configuration, and hardware and software deployment using various desktop deployment tools.
  • Performs installation, configuration, and basic troubleshooting and service of all local and network printers.
  • Performs computer account management activities within Active Directory.
  • Creates web-based database applications in ColdFusion
  • Develops and documents standard operating procedures for all such processes.
  • Ensures technology issues are promptly addressed, documented and resolved in a timely and professional manner consistent with the highest customer service and professional / technical standards.
  • Serves as technical advisor, providing front telephone, remote desktop, and onsite desktop support for system users with complex issues.
  • Initiates tracking and reporting of issues, as well as recommends means for system improvement including procedural steps, increased training, and enhanced documentation.
  • Performs other IT job related tasks as assigned by IT Management.
  • Acts as Technical Subject Matter Expert for all desktop applications.

Assistant Director for Academic Services

Description

The Assistant Director for Academic Services will report directly to the Associate Director of Athletics for Academic Services/SWA. The Assistant Director will be responsible for coordinating activities for varsity sport programs to include counseling students on academic matters, coordinating study hall, and assisting with schedule development. The Assistant Director will also assist with monitoring student-athlete academic progress, development and delivery of learning skills programming, as well as consulting with coaches on student-athlete academic progress. Experience with learning skills programing and/or work with “at risk” students is preferred.

Knowledge of, and compliance with, specific NCAA Division I, Big South Conference, and institution rules that relate to this position is required. The Assistant Director for Academic Services must work compatibly and cooperatively with all personnel within the Division of Intercollegiate Athletics and on the Campbell University campus and comply with the university’s mission and values.

Director of Standardized Patient Program

The Director of Standardized Patient (SP) Program oversees and administers all aspects of the Standardized Patient Program at the Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine (SOM). The individual will be responsible for the implementation of the SP Program's educational objectives, collaboration with SOM faculty, as well as development/design and implementation of simulated patient-interaction experiences to meet curricular goals.

Requirements | Qualifications

The successful candidate will have graduated from college with major work in a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with three years of related experience in support service/learning skills service; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three years of successful academic experience in a clinical teaching environment is preferred. The preferred candidate will have a track record in teaching and leadership from an accredited medical school. The director will create and implement training and clinical skills assessment programs, case materials and checklists for use by faculty and/or standardized patients in order to enhance the faculty's effectiveness in teaching and assessing clinical skills. The individual should possess the necessary skills to use the latest simulation methodologies for evaluation of students and residents.

Director of Student Life & Pro Bono Opportunities

The Director of Student Life and Pro Bono Opportunities directs and administers a vast array of student life and pro bono activities for law school students with the goal to provide a diverse student body with opportunities for personal growth and leadership development. This senior administration position reports to the Vice Dean and serves as the administrative liaison between the student body and the Dean’s office on co-curricular student matters.

  • Develop programs that result in student life initiatives that support the law school’s vision, mission, and strategic goals and continue to manage current programs, including, but not limited to, the peer-to-peer mentoring program, local community partnerships (health/wellness, intramurals, and volunteerism) and student leadership initiatives, including the Campbell Law School Leadership Council
  • Provide administrative support for annual law school functions, including Orientation, Graduation, Law Day Banquet, and various other fundraisers and events
  • Promote effective relationships between student services departments (i.e. alumni, development, facilities) and with the external community
  • Develop and implement procedures and guidelines for student programs and campus organizations and provide leadership and professional guidance to over 30 student campus organizations
  • Serve as the law school liaison with main campus on due diligence matters, including, but not limited to contract review for student events, funding and accounting processes, and liability matters
  • Keep students and staff informed about all programs and activities through regular campus-wide dissemination of information
  • Serve on internal law school committees and external legal networks associated with student services and pro bono
  • Develop programs that promote Campbell’s commitment to volunteerism and continue to manage current programs, including the Campbell Law School Pro Bono Council, the Domestic Violence Advocacy Project, and Campbell Cares service days

Additional Instructions

A JD degree is required, as well as, practical experience in a law-related environment. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, detail oriented, diligent, and effective in managing confidential information. This candidate will have strong communication skills, including tact and diplomacy, and should be able to work independently on multiple projects. Web Developer

Description

The Web Developer is responsible for assisting with the development and management of the Campbell University website. The University’s website supports a number of initiatives including student recruitment and public information, as well as academic and administrative information for the various schools and departments on campus. The position will work as part of the Web Administration team to provide administrative, design and development support for campbell.edu and its affiliated sites. The position will work closely with the health science related programs and departments of the university in the development and management of their websites.

The Web Developer works in an environment where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required. The position exercises considerable judgment within broadly defined practices and procedures to select methods, processes and techniques for designing websites and presenting online information. The position is also responsible for making recommendations and implementing processes, methods, and programs to continually improve the University’s website and other forms of digital communication. The ability to work and excel in a team environment is very important.

Requirements | Qualifications

  1. Work must be done onsite at the main campus of Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC.
  2. All work produced must follow Campbell University brand standards.
  3. Special attention must be paid to designing and developing websites and web content for optimum usability across different browsers and devices.
  4. Previous experience working in a higher education environment is a big plus.

Education:

A Bachelor’s degree and professional experience with designing and developing for the web is preferred but we will accept 5 years of professional web design and development experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  1. Experience designing W3C standards compliant websites using html, css and javascript.
  2. Experience maintaining and developing for a large scale CMS.
  3. Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite.

Requirements | Qualifications

The candidate will have a current, valid, unrestricted, nursing license. The successful candidate must possess a strong knowledge of clinical care, education, and/or technology through the completion of a degree in nursing, healthcare, education, technology, or related field. If appropriate, the candidate must have the ability to obtain valid North Carolina licensure in the appropriate technical field upon hire. The candidate must maintain appropriate certification from appropriate certifying agency. The candidate must also have successful academic experience in a medical school and/or higher education or equivalent academic setting.

Under the direction of the Director of Simulation Medicine, the Education Specialist for Simulation and Standardized Patients will provide comprehensive support to the Lab. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the administration, faculty and staff with development of the pre-clinical and clinical curriculum and staffing . Other responsibilities include budget preparation and the supervision of training faculty, staff, and students to advance the student’s professionalism, knowledge, skills, and competencies to the level required for a graduate Osteopathic physician.
