Description
The Graduate Assistant serves as administrative support for the International Admissions Office (IAO). S/he must have a professional attitude with both the university and the public.
Requirements | Qualifications
Job requirements:
- Perform a variety of administrative tasks for the IAO
- Compose, edit, copy and file documents and letters
- Maintain files and other required documentation
- Assist with data collection and research
- Organize incoming and outgoing mail correspondence
- Perform any other assigned duties

Graduate Assistant for Greek Life

Description
The Graduate Assistant for Greek Life assists the Director of Student Activities and Vice President of Student Life in the supervision and support of Greek Life Organizations at Campbell University.The Graduate Assistant for Greek Life works in conjunction with the Director of Student Activities and Vice President of Student Life to advise and oversee the Greek Life program.
Requirements | Qualifications
PROGRAMMING AND ADVISING
- Provide leadership, direction, and advising to Campbell’s Greek-letter organizations
- Serve as a member of the Greek Life Task Force
- Develop programming and workshops for Greek students including but not limited to leadership development, risk management, and character development
- Develop outreach programs that promote Greek Life to the Campbell community including but not limited to, information fairs, visitation days, and orientation days
- Manage all membership intake processes and assist with risk management plans
- Advise the coordination of informal and formal recruitment events
- Assist in organizing and then advising the Inter-Greek Council
- Supervise events hosted by Greek organizations, other student organizations, or the Department of Student Life as needed
- Serve as a liaison between the university and fraternities and sororities establishing chapters on the Campbell University campus
ADMINISTRATIVE
- Collect and maintain data and records on membership, conduct, retention, and academics for all Greek organizations.
- Create and maintain communication with chapter officers, members and advisers through newsletters, e-mail updates and regular meetings.
- Create and maintain Greek marketing materials and campaigns
- Keep regular office hours, and assist with general office functions
- Complete projects as assigned by the Director of Student Activities or Vice President of Student Life
DEPARTMENTAL
- Attend and assist with Student Life Department functions as needed.
- Assist with additional tasks when requested from the Vice President for Student Life
- Drive airport shuttles with other Student Life Graduate Assistants as needed
Additional Instructions
This is a 29hrs per week position, and requires a significant amount of night and weekend work. The Graduate Assistant must be available on a consistent basis to work night and weekend events and must have a flexible schedule. This position also requires the ability to be approved by Campbell to drive students in Campbell University vans.
Applicant should be currently enrolled in Graduate School with good academic standing.

Graduate Assistant School of Osteopathic Medicine

Description
The Graduate Assistant for the School of Osteopathic Medicine will perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties that require independent judgment, diplomacy, sensitivity and strict confidentiality. Duties are performed under the general direction of the Dean.
Requirements | Qualifications
The successful applicant must possess superior oral and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, proficient use of Microsoft Office, and the ability to handle several projects simultaneously. An amicable professional demeanor is essential.
Additional Instructions
This is a 20 hour per week position, starting August 1, 2013 and continuing through December 31, 2013, with the possibility of renewal if deemed appropriate by both parties. The Graduate Assistant must be registered for graduate classes each term and must make satisfactory progress towards a graduate degree with Campbell University.
