Andy Shell, Director of Campus Recreation

Eric Baumann, Assistant Director for Competitive Sports

Eric joined Campbell's Campus Recreation staff in September 2016 as the Assistant Director for Competitive Sports.
He graduated from Campbell University in May 2015 with a B.S. in Health and Physical Education. While at Campbell, Eric worked as an intramural official and supervisor.  He also stayed active within Campus Recreation by serving as the President of club basketball. After graduating, he moved to Richmond, Virginia to pursue a Master's of Education in Sport Leadership from Virginia Commonwealth University. While at VCU, he served as the Graduate Assistant for facility operations at VCU Recreational Sports. Most recently, Eric was an intern for the Carolina's Golf Association while completing his Master’s degree in August 2016.
Fun Fact: Eric loves to travel and has been to 40 of the 50 states.

Zach Martin, Graduate Assistant for Competitive Sports
Zach is in his second year as Graduate Assistant with Campus Recreation for Competitive Sports. He was born and raised in Savannah, GA. He graduated from Armstrong State University, in his native Savannah, in May 2015 with a B.S. in Psychology. While at Armstrong, Zach worked as official and supervisor for intramurals and club sports. Zach is also an active official for football with the Triangle football Officials association. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Education with a focus on interdisciplinary studies and plans on entering the field of campus recreation after graduating
Fun Fact: Zach enjoys watching college football, especially the Tennessee Volunteers.

Joey Acquanita, Graduate Assistant for Competitive Sports

Joey graduated cum laude from Springfield College in May 2016 with a B.S. in Sports Management and will now pursue a Master’s in Business Administration while working within Campus Recreation.  At Springfield, he worked in Intramurals as both an official and program supervisor for 3 years.  In addition, Acquanita worked the Spalding HoopHall Classic for 2 years as a team liaison before being promoted to tournament supervisor his Junior year. During his last semester as an undergraduate, Joey worked with California State University Fullerton as an intern for their Athletic Facilities and Game Day Operations.

Stephon Porter, Graduate Assistant of Marketing and Facilities

Stephon Porter joins the Campbell University Campus Recreation Department as the Graduate Assistant of Marketing and Facilities for the 2016-17 academic year. Porter is a 2015 graduate of Old Dominion University earning his Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management and minoring in marketing. He spent the 2015-2016 academic year an intern for Embry-Riddle athletic department as an Intramural and Recreational Sports intern. While at Old Dominion, Porter spent his time working at the Student Recreation Center in numerous departments. He was a member of the marketing and promotions team, an intramural official and was a membership services representative at their Student Recreation Center. Porter also held positions in the Old Dominion Athletics Department as a community relations intern, equipment manager, and a student assistant for the varsity football team.Porter also worked for the Norfolk Admirals hockey team and Norfolk Tides baseball team as a merchandise sales representative. Additionally, while with the Tides, he was a part of their promotions crew and a fill in community relations intern.He is pursuing his Master Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in hopes of one day being a Director of Campus Recreation.
